Global trade is slowing as the Ukraine conflict and its consequences have replaced the pandemic as the leading drag on growth.

The analysis of global trends in the development of the principal logistics directions and routes for delivery of сargoes between continents and countries shows that over the past ten years, the first-level carriers and operators have intensified the struggle for transit container cargo flows, and a number of countries are taking important, forward-looking steps to increase the attractiveness of container shipping.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), a global cooperation platform that demonstrates China’s vision and provides solutions to the reform of the global governance system and multifaceted challenges.
