ÖBB Rail Cargo Group announces new connection between Austria and Germany

ÖBB Rail Cargo Group says the new service shall link the entire Central and South-Eastern European region, strengthening the entire logistics chain across both regions.

The ÖBB Rail Cargo Group has announced it is now offering its customers a new TransFER (network connection with a fixed timetable).

The new TransFER Salzburg—Augsburg connects Austria with Southern German, creating a central link to the entire Central and South-Eastern European region.

«With two round trips per week, the new TransFER offers a non-stop connection between two important economic centres in Austria and Germany: Salzburg, a central hub in the Austrian rail network, and Augsburg, an important industrial and logistics centre in Southern Germany. This not only promotes the flow of goods between both regions, but also strengthens the entire logistics chain in Central and South-Eastern Europe,» says the rail freight operator.
