It consists of 55 containers with cross-border e-commerce goods and products requiring cold chain compliance. The route runs through Kazakhstan (Altynkol checkpoint), Russia, Belarus, Poland and Germany.
According to Chengdu International Railway Port Investment and Development Co., Ltd., the train follows the «via Europe» transport model. After arriving at the port of Antwerp-Bruges, the goods will be distributed by rail to Spain, Italy, France, Germany and the UK within 2-3 days. The entire route is designed for 16-18 days and provides customers with a comprehensive «one stop — several stages of distribution» delivery scheme.
The Chengdu-Antwerp route was the first direct international railway connection between the cities. Now the network of «Chengdu International Expresses» already covers 126 destinations.
