Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is a regional economic forum created in 1989 to strengthen the growing interdependence of Asia-Pacific Region. The cooperation, which includes 21 economies, seeks to achieve a balanced and accelerated development of regional economic integration. Inside APEC, there is free movement of goods, services, investments and human resources.
