Rolling stock is designed for passenger and freight transportation. Rail rolling stock consists of locomotives (traction rolling stock), motor-car rolling stock and wagons. During freight transportation, electric and diesel locomotives are most commonly used. Platform wagons are used for container and piggyback container transportation. The development of innovative rolling stock is one of the key vectors for the development of any company in the railway sector.
