A meeting was held in Beijing between the Chairman of the Board of JSC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) Talgat Aldybergenov and Deputy Director General of the State Corporation China Railways Wang Lixin

The talks were devoted to increasing transportation volumes, developing the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), and CRCT’s participation in the MSM joint venture.

The parties noted that the completion of infrastructure projects will expand the capacity for receiving and delivering trains at the Dostyk-Alashankou junction by 2026. The Chinese side confirmed its readiness to synchronize the development of its infrastructure. At the same time, transportation plans and the range of goods for 2026 will be considered in detail at a meeting of the mixed commission scheduled for September 22-26 in Almaty.

Special attention is paid to the construction of the third railway crossing Bakhty-Ayagoz, which is planned to be commissioned in early 2028. By the end of this year, the parties intend to determine the specialization of the terminals and the list of goods that will pass through the new corridor.
