13.03.2025

The Kazakhstan-China Logistics Center in Xi’an, opened with the participation of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, is demonstrating impressive results a year after its launch

The terminal has become a key hub on the TITR route, ensuring significant growth in rail freight traffic between the two countries.

Since its opening, the center’s capacity has reached 133,000 TEU per year, and the volume of transit traffic has exceeded 276,000 tons. In 2025, this figure is planned to increase to 456,000 tons. In addition, a record number of trains were sent to Europe through the Xi’an Dry Port in 2024 — more than 5,000, which is 25% of all shipments on the route.

The Kazakhstan-China terminal consolidates up to 40% of container trains going to Kazakhstan, strengthening the country’s position in international logistics. Over the past year, the volume of traffic through this hub has increased 33-fold, which underlines its strategic importance for trade and transit between Asia and Europe.
