The facility has four 700-metre tracks and capacity for up to 130,000 loading units.
The terminal has been operational since January 2026 and is operated by Combiconnect Barcelona, a temporary joint venture between Hupac and Spanish logistics company TPNOVA.
Its four tracks are served by two gantry cranes and are equipped for both standard gauge and Iberian broad gauge, allowing loading units to be transferred between the two systems by crane. The site is also designed to handle P400 craneable semi-trailers.
The terminal provides domestic connections to Madrid, Valencia and Seville, while international links extend towards hubs including Antwerp, Duisburg and Busto Arsizio. Its location next to the Port of Barcelona also allows maritime and continental freight flows to be combined at the same site.
For Hupac, La Llagosta is its first terminal on the Iberian Peninsula and its 11th in Europe.
