Domestic shipments accounted for 97.2 million tonnes, while export volumes grew by 6.5% to 53.4 million tonnes. Growth was recorded across several major cargo categories, supporting the overall increase in freight traffic across the KTZ network.
Coal remained the largest cargo category, with 60.4 million tonnes transported, up 3.5% from the same period in 2025. Of this volume, 40.9 million tonnes were delivered to customers in Kazakhstan, a 3% increase, while exports rose 3.1% to 18.8 million tonnes. Grain transportation increased by 10% to 8.1 million tonnes, including 6.3 million tonnes of exports (+10.4%) and 1.8 million tonnes of domestic shipments (+8.6%). Exports of processed grain products grew by 14% to 1.3 million tonnes.
KTZ also transported 12.5 million tonnes of non-ferrous ores and 11.3 million tonnes of construction materials during the seven-month period. Iron ore shipments rose 16.6% to 13.8 million tonnes, petroleum products increased 1.5% to 15.2 million tonnes, crude oil grew 3% to 1.2 million tonnes, and other cargo volumes rose 4.2% to 36.9 million tonnes.
