Multimodal transportation

Multimodal transportation — one of the types of multimodal transportation of goods, focused on the transportation of at least two modes of transport under an agreement with one carrier. This type of freight transportation is mainly used in the absence of a direct supply route by one transport or when direct communication by a single mode of transport is not considered by the shipper due to high price.
