KTZ and Lianyungang Port discussed prospects for transport cooperation

27.02.2025

A meeting of the management of JSC NC KTZ and LLC GC Port Lianyungang was held in Beijing, where the results of joint work for 2024 were summed up and key areas of partnership for the future were identified.

The participants paid special attention to the development of the Khorgos dry port and the Kazakh-Chinese terminal in Lianyungang, which are strategically important facilities for transit traffic between the countries.

During the discussions, the parties identified priority projects for 2025, the main one of which will be the creation of a container hub in the port of Aktau. This project, being the third major joint infrastructure facility, is designed to increase the capacity of international transport routes and strengthen the role of Kazakhstan as a key logistics hub in the region.

Cooperation between KTZ and the port of Lianyungang continues to expand, contributing to the development of the Trans-Caspian international transport route and strengthening trade and logistics ties between Kazakhstan and China.
